Slab Sawing (sub-sub tab), also known as Flat Sawing, is a concrete cutting method to create openings and trenches in both concrete and asphalt. Dixie offers two types of Slab Sawing, Tier-4 Diesel and Electric. Tier-4 Diesel is the most common method of Slab Sawing that can cut depths of up to 33’’ thick. Electric Slab Sawing is a saw that is powered by 3-phase 480Volt Electricity. Dixie is fully equipped with 480V generators to provide all the power we need to complete your task.
Hand Sawing (sub-sub tab), is a method of concrete cutting that is primarily used in spaces that have difficult access or are very limited with space. These saws can be used in tight quarters in the or the slab. Dixie can Hand Saw concrete or asphalt up to 10’’ thick. Dixie also offers Hand Held Flush Cutting Services for when your project requires a flush transition.
Wall Sawing (sub-sub tab), is the most precise method of cutting available. Dixie uses track mounted saws that are either 480V powered or Hydraulic powered. Wall Sawing is commonly used for cutting windows, doors, dock faces, and much more. Dixie can cut horizontal or vertical surfaces at depths of up to 33’’ thick.
Chain Sawing (sub-sub tab), is a method using a hydraulic chainsaw with diamond segmented chains to obtain small square openings or used to cut the corners of openings to avoid having any “over cuts” in concrete structures that will remain. Dixie can chainsaw depths of up to 24’’ thick.
Wire Sawing (sub-sub tab), is a method of using diamond segmented cable to cut even the most awkward of structures. This method can be used below grade, multiple stories up, or even under water. Wire Sawing can be used for structures that are any depth or any length.
